The big bag of sentient orange goo spoke at the United Nations General Assembly Hall yesterday in front of world leaders and got a reaction he was apparently not expecting.

“In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country…so true,” Trump told the assembly. The remark was met with laughter to which Trump replied, “Didn’t expect that reaction but that’s OK.”

Of course, FOX News cut out the laughter when it posted the quote from Trump’s speech:

But according to U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, the laughter had nothing to do with anyone making fun of the President or finding his comment ridiculous, instead people laughed because they “respect” him so much.

“They loved how honest he is,” Haley said on FOX & FRIENDS this morning. “It’s not diplomatic and they find it funny. … When he goes and he is very truthful, they kind of were taken back by it.”

She continued: “All day yesterday, they were falling over themselves to get a picture with him, to talk about how great his speech was. … They love that he’s honest with them and they’ve never seen anything like it, so there’s respect there. I saw that the media was trying to make it something disrespectful. That’s not what it was ― they love to be with him.”

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid, Haley. Check out her interview above.
