My first reaction to this was what a lucky boy to be able to hold on for dear life to the railings of the apartment building, then my second reaction is where were the parents or caregiver when this young kid fell off the 20th storey building? Anyways, it was neighbors who found the boy dangling from the railings of the 19th storey apartment. He had apparently fell from the 20th storey apartment. This incident happened in Dazhou, Sichuan Province last Wednesday, and it took police to force their way in the 19th floor apartment ( 7 officers) to save the boy who had already been clutching for dear life for 30 minutes.

According to the young boy’s family, no one was home when the young boy got out of bed and went outside to look over the railings – that is most likely how he fell off. SCMP continues this story:

His family told police that no one had been home when the boy woke up, and he was on the balcony trying to see outside when he fell, according to the report.

Last month, a group of neighbours stepped in to rescue two young girls who were stranded in a burning building in Huzhou, Zhejiang province. They formed a line and climbed up to the second-floor balcony to carry the children down to safety.

That came after former soldier Zhang Xin was hailed as the Chinese “Spider-Man” when he scaled five storeys of a building in Hunan province to rescue a two-year-old boy who was dangling from a window grille.

Good news is, he is safe and sound now.
