As we face this present crisis between China and India, let us not forget how influential these ancient civilizations have been on each other. Their peaceful coexistence is paramount to the security, stability and prosperity of the region.

India is full of ancient wonders and with more cooperation with China and the One Belt One Road, or New Silk Road Initiative, India shall rise out of poverty, famine and truly take her place as one of the great nations in the new world order.

Under the Bodhi tree, the Buddha was meditating when he conceived of the Four Noble Truths.

• The truth of suffering (Dukkha)

• The truth of the origin of suffering (Samudāya)

• The truth of the cessation of suffering (Nirodha)

• The truth of the path to the cessation of suffering (Magga)

Through the right moral, ethical, stable, grounded and enlightened mindset the beauty, majesty and magnificence of India are easily illustrated and personified through the legacy of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha. Cannot the power, beauty and wisdom of the Buddha’s teachings once more infect the nations of China and India with a peacefully viral cure to their present sickly military standoff?
