Hands up all the zombie flick fans out there? Yes that is me of course and it is so exciting to hear that the sequel to the famous Korean horror film TRAIN TO BUSAN will start filming in the first half of 2019. TRAIN TO BUSAN became a huge hit when it was first released in 2016 selling 11.56 million tickets and grossed $82.39 million.

The good news is director Yeon Sang Ho have confirmed that the sequel titled “Peninsula” will start filming in 2019, but it is still in its infancy and early days he tells the media ( via Metro UK):

‘It’s still in an early stage, so there’s nothing decided yet. There’s just an early version of the scenario, and the working title is Peninsula,’

He clarified, though, that Gong Yoo and other stars in the original Train to Busan will not be appearing in the sequel and the setting will be a city and not a train.

I so can’t wait for the sequel to be released because if it is anything like the first part, it will definitely be a huge hit! More to come from this soon I am sure!
