Disney’s D23 Expo is happening now, hawking all of Disney’s wares and tentpoles to feverish excitement to many fans. We’ve already reported about the major ALADDIN casting announcement and the first look at A WRINKLE IN TIME, but the grand poobah of them all, STAR WARS, was finally unveiled to the masses in Anaheim, with director Rian Johnson and cast members Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro to whet the appetites of the D23 attendees with a new behind-the-scenes look at STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, which you can see above.

I have to say, this new video got me excited and is a far better look into the world Johnson and his team is crafting than the first teaser that came out two months ago. It’s also cool to see Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, “a member of the Resistance who works as a maintenance worker.” We also get a glimpse of Vietnamese-Norwegian actress Veronica Ngo as an X-Wing gunner and supposedly, Rose’s sister.

Finally, the video does drum up the feels with footage of Carrie Fisher portraying her beloved character, Leia Organa, one last time.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI releases December 15 in theaters across the country (if you didn’t know that already). I also love the film’s logline: “An epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past.”
