One comment on social media perhaps says it best, “Kinda of reminds me of Clarence Thomas.”
Donald Trump has named another Filipino American lawyer to a key position in his administration, reported the New York Times. He named George Conway, husband of Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, to head the civil division of the Justice Department.
One of the first things George Conway will have to do in his new position is to defend the Trump-ordered Muslim bans in the courts. He will also handle any lawsuits filed against the administration.
Conway is the second FilAm attorney chosen by Trump to play a high-profile role on the president’s team. Last week, Trump named Noel Francisco to be his Solicitor General. Conway was also considered a frontrunner for the role that went to Francisco.
