UPDATE: The deadine has been extended to Oct. 1 at 11:59 PM Hawaii time.

Just a reminder that if you’re a Hawaii resident, a media-maker and at least 14-years-old, you can apply to participate in the Hawaii International Film Festival’s first-ever New Media Camp presented in conjunction with YOMYOMF.

It’s a FREE four day intensive workshop that’ll take place during this year’s festival from October 17-20. Six people will be selected from the entries to participate in the workshop where everyone will shoot and edit their own video to screen at the festival on October 20. Two of the videos will be selected to also be posted on the YOMYOMF Network YouTube channel.

Click here to apply (also free to apply) and here for the complete rules (and please read carefully before submitting your application). You’ll need to submit a sample of your work and a script or treatment for the project you wish to work on during the NMC. Deadline is 11:59 PM Hawaii time on Sept. 26, 2013 so don’t delay.

See you in paradise!

More about YOMYOMF at last year’s HIFF here, here and here.

  1. Yippee. I live here! I’ll spread the word and maybe apply or at least nudge my friends who are far talented.

  2. We’ll also be hosting a panel/screening on Oct. 20 as part of HIFF so even if you don’t do the workshop, you can come to that. More info to come.
