Lily forms a bond with a plant after moving from her home. Her imaginary world takes on a life of its own that Lily’s mom does not understand.
When I started this film, I wanted to create a short film that portrayed a female character that responds to stress with her imagination. I felt there was a strong lack of dramatic stories about girls who are not victims or monsters. I hope “Lily” shows a girl who is neither of those things, but rather, a creative person with her own wants and desires.
