Dear Elaine Chao,

It is with great urgency, honor and sublime pleasure that I write to you regarding important issues and events that have catastrophically infected the soul of our great American nation. An evil, insipid and manipulative wave of hateful, well-evolved/organized and intolerant white supremacy, nationalism and xenophobia are crashing, splashing and even smashing their cars into Americans; they are marching and attempting to spread across this land chanting their slogan of Blood and Soil. It wreaks of the past terror, discrimination and inequality that our ancestors had to endure during the unequal 19th and 20th century American years. Race riots have once again crashed upon our nation just after we had twice elected our first mixed-race African-American President, Barack Hussein Obama II.

Without question, the public division is very widespread and is even drawing international condemnation. Local, grassroots and elected leaders are also openly making their positions well known on this issue. The time has come to take a stand and let our position as people of color, honest Caucasian Americans or ethical beings be known to the alt-right and other racist terror groups that are shamefully, boldly and arrogantly flaunting their white power political rhetoric, opinions or views upon the American people.

According to the UN News Centre:

“’We are alarmed by the racist demonstrations, with overtly racist slogans, chants and salutes by white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and the Ku Klux Klan, promoting white supremacy and inciting racial discrimination and hatred,’ said Anastasia Crickley, Chairperson of UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD), in a news release.

In a decision issued under its ‘early warning and urgent action’ procedure, the Committee, which monitors implementation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, stated ‘there should be no place in the world for racist white supremacist ideas or any similar ideologies that reject the core human rights principles of human dignity and equality.’

The United States ratified the Convention in 1994.

In addition to the criminal investigation of the individual who ploughed his car into a crowd of peaceful protestors killing a woman, the UN experts asked the US authorities to undertake concrete measures ‘to address the root causes of the proliferation of such racist manifestations.’

‘We call on the US Government to investigate thoroughly the phenomenon of racial discrimination targeting, in particular, people of African descent, ethnic or ethno-religious minorities, and migrants,’ added Ms. Crickley.”

This is most alarming, because this kind of warning is usually reserved for third world or seriously unstable nations. Even worse, is that these previous warnings about the potential unrest would later come to fruition in the form of massive civil wars or widespread suffering such as seen in Libya, Iraq, Syria and Egypt. The warning signs are loud enough to warrant international attention and it highlights how disastrous the current situation is.

Many Asian American leaders and organizations have openly criticized you in terms of how you have handled the recent meltdowns from the 45th POTUS, Donald J. Trump. Asian Americans Advancing Justice, who has faithfully served our people for almost as long as you have been in public service, asked you to take a stand against this hate or quit your job with this administration. Your answer on this issue was welcome, but lacked substance and was not viewed as acceptable by the majority of our Asian American community.

“We are a country of tolerance,” she said. “It is hateful behavior and it is not who we are as Americans.” – Elaine Chao

I understand that you face an immense amount of pressure because the President, your direct boss, is in open political contention with your husband Mitch McConnell. You walk a paper-thin line between remaining in your position and being able to improve American transportation and infrastructure, vs becoming one of the most infamous and iconic images of racist collaboration since before the Civil Rights Movement.

“Elaine Chao is a good person. She has served the country in public service for a long time. But now she will be indelibly marked by this, standing behind as a prop while the President gives sucker to white supremacist groups. And she has a decision to make this morning. She’s complicit in this, an enabler of it, and really now a fellow traveler with these groups if she doesn’t resign her office.” – Steve Schmidt

I mean you no disrespect in any way shape or form by sharing all of this with you. You are my elder from the Republic of China, and I feel compelled to be honest, candid and direct about your current dilemma. You need to think beyond this current job in this administration and consider the long term historical role that you have had thrust upon you. I don’t blame you for keeping a cool face when the meltdown occurred on camera. However, now that the dust has settled, the hate is growing and domestic and international condemnation of these racists has occurred, it is in your best interest to join us and make a bolder, more public, assertive and righteous stand against characterizing these racists with the people of color on the left as if they were truly equals.

One side clearly represents the generational legacy of rape, genocide, discrimination, exploitation, inhumanity and the industrial scale enslavement based upon race and inequality for most of American history. To even attempt to equate the two diametrically opposed positions as equal is outrageous, ignorant, unethical, immoral, illogical and devilishly deceitful!

The 45th POTUS, has no understanding of the revisionist American historical manipulation that has led to this current ignorant crisis. It directly stems from a lack of proper historical education in regards to the racial divide, political inequalities that this nation was founded upon and the failed post-Civil War reconstruction that led to the Jim Crow laws, mass of Confederate statues of glory being erected and the continued economic and political inequality that is still visible across the south today.

Now, that I have shed more light on this issue in regards to why so many honest Americans are against you and the POTUS on this issue, I humbly ask for you to stand with us and condemn the incorrect positions that the racists and Trump have made. I do not dare to ask you to leave your job, for that is not my place. However, I do care about you, your legacy and how important it is to our people that you stand with us on the side of righteousness.

Thank you very much for taking the time to consider my thoughts and request. Again, I mean you no disrespect and only wish to secure your support in this fight against racists; for I presently feel, that a great wave of evil is trying to overwhelm the country. It has the potential to ravage, infect and cannibalize our peacefully cohesive society and the great American nation. If you stand with us, your support will help us to push back this resurgent, vile, unvirtuous and dangerous movement.

Sincerely Yours,

Chinese American Civil, Human & Political Rights Activist
