We are loving the influx of Asian American superheroes in comic books nowadays and it looks like a bunch of them will be teaming up in an upcoming story arc in Marvel’s TOTALLY AWESOME HULK written by the one and only Greg Pak. Here’s a sneak peek of it from Pak’s Twitter feed:
It’s *possible* that no mainstream superhero comic has ever starred as many Asian American superheroes as TOTALLY AWESOME HULK #15. pic.twitter.com/CJWfeBsn19

Looking pretty damn cool! Here’s a short synopsis of the upcoming story arc:
“BIG APPLE SHOWDOWN” STARTS HERE! Amadeus Cho is slowly learning how to become a team player, but he better learn fast when Ms. Marvel, Shang Chi, Silk and a host of other heroes come to town!
We’ve written about the lack of Asian representation in the Marvel Cinematic and TV universes, but with Amadeus Cho as the Hulk, and the recent creations of characters of Asian descent making appearances in the Marvel comics universe (i.e. Iron Patriot and Ms. Marvel), it’s looking like the comics-verse is ahead of the curve.
Greg Pak, who’s spearheading this story, and with art by stalwart Marvel illustrator Mahmud A. Asrar, it’s looking like this story is going to be epic. Can’t wait to see the Asian superhero invasion!
